Discover the world's tallest vertical axis wind turbine!
Where nature meets history and technology!
An immersive experience in the world of wind power. Designed in the 1980s for scientific research and located at the heart of Quebec's first wind farm, Projet Éole is the best place to learn everything about wind turbines!
A uniquely designed experimental power plant!
A year after research was halted in 1993, Projet Éole became Canada's first wind power interpretation center. Since 2019, under the leadership of a new, young and dynamic administration, the site has been completely restored to offer a seamless, diverse, and enjoyable visit that will appeal to everyone. The retro-industrial look of the power plant will take you back in time!
Project Éole is managed by the Éole Foundation, a charitable organization whose ambition is to enable all generations to discover, understand and take ownership of renewable energy as a lever for autonomy, innovation and resilience for the benefit of all.

We went there while we were walking around the Gaspé and we really enjoyed our experience. The guide who led the tour (one of the owners of the place from what I could understand) was … More Very friendly, explained the history of the place well and seemed passionate! It was also very impressive to discover so closely and to be able to explore the underside of the wind turbine infrastructure. A must-do if you are in the area! -

An attraction that allows you to learn a lot about Quebec's interest in the autonomy of a region in electricity. The wind turbine is very special and worth the detour. The guide was great and explained very well … More the challenges of this project which ended up being abandoned. The lady at the store was a sweetheart and I took pleasure in chatting with her. Very pleasant. A good outing. Parking is free and accessible to people with reduced mobility. No need to book in advance. -

Warm place, very pleasant free visit, the guides are very available, explain to us and answer our questions in a good mood. A stop at their field of flowers and plants is also necessary! Thank you all for … More visit -

Visit made this morning. A little reluctant to do it assuming its complexity. Completely delighted in the end! Warm welcome by a lady upon our arrival! Our host Patrick told us the history and construction of the project … More with simplicity for a good understanding and by capturing our interest through his quality of storytelling and his knowledge! Friendly welcome from a young man at the shop who showed us the human side and the importance of promoting the nature of this site. Physical approach to equipment and wind turbines: quite impressive! Good explanatory description on well-placed panels. To have!!
