Organization

History of the new team

With the site almost abandoned, a new administration stepped forward in 2019 to restore this giant's former glory and restore a key element of Quebec's renewable energy heritage. A development team was then formed from several residents of the Cap-Chat community. Throughout the adventure, their passion for sustainable development and enthusiasm for the topics covered provided a boost of motivation to take Projet Éole to new horizons. And so, in 2023, the Éole Foundation was established to provide Projet Éole with the tools it needed to carve out a place for itself in the renewable energy ecosystem. By popularizing wind energy to their visitors, the team has found itself an indispensable role as a conduit to the general public on everything related to this booming field.

Where will my donation go?

The Éole Foundation was granted registered charity (RBC) status by the CRA in March 2023, and donations will be used to expand our education, outreach, and innovation activities on and off-site. You'll find a short list of the many upcoming projects in the Development section!
